and, i really want yall to be able to see my turtle song. but whenever i go to download it onto the blog, it takes for-e-va. so, don't hold your breath but i'll get it to you eventually.
in other news, i just returned from a trip to singapore. things are looking good down on the southern most tip of the asia continent.

Was the tip in Key West just the southernmost tip of the United States? I'm assuming yes... (Singapore below)

And, this is my attempt to take an artsy shot like Elaine:) But the yellow/green monkey grass really was intriguing. The yellow will probably be the closest I see to fall leaves...

Great shot of the grass!! I'm no expert but it looks awesome to me.
I will let the bham girls tell you about some of the books they've read in their book club they started. They have all sounded really good.
Have you read "Life of Pi". It's a really crazy story of a boy who gets stuck on a life raft with a tiger and has to survive. It has a crazy turn at the end that keeps you spinning for days.
beautiful monkey grass candis. I feel like everyone should aspire to say that sentence sometime in their lives.
our favorites so far have been A Thousand Splendid Suns and The Book Thief. I highly recommend both.
Yes, Key West is the southernmost point of the continental United States.
You should probably read some Jane Jacobs or Wendell Berry.
thanks for the suggestions. i have read Life of Pi. It really was a great book and still has me spinning.
i'll have to check out the others.
jane jacobs frightens me, i saw her on a t-shirt once.
if you want to be reminded of the US countryside, Annie Dillard in "Pilgrim at Tinker Creek" writes beautifully about nature and how it points to the spiritual.
if you want an amazing novel (true story), "what is the what" by Dave eggers.
keep it real candis, you are a stud!
